**Specific Expectations**:
Defines the Quality Organization covering Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality, Quality Systems and Customer Quality Roles
Manages the Quality team in alignment of corporate Quality Policy
Developes and executes strategic plans to continuously improve customer (internal, external) quality and internal KTIs
Effectively consolidates and analyses internal and external quality performance data and feedback to the Operation team
Establishes effective outgoing quality controls and correlates to internal and external customer defect pareto
Ensures plant wide equipment and tool calibration is set up and effective
Represents the site in customer and other 3rd party audits as well as assure yearly certification audit compliance to maintain existing certifications
Responsible for Supplier Quality performance at the site, covering incoming inspection, line performance and customer quality audit support
Ensures compliance and effective engineering change controls
Owns the site specifc 8D program
Organizes and conductes Quality training at the site
Assures measurement tools are capable for their respective tasks
Direct contact for customer issues
Oversees quarterly budget planning and cost control
**Family Description**:
Manages and establishes processes and standards for the quality team. Responsible for developing and driving the quality metrics. Manages the design and installation of quality control processes, procedures and statistical techniques. Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment.
**Scope**:
Directs activity for all major program areas.
Accountable for people management, costs, schedules, scope and continuous process improvement.
Collaborates within and across functions, seeking broad input to support decision-making and issue resolution.
**Complexity**:
Applies advanced knowledge, managing staff to resolve common and complex business and technical issues.
Develops and administers schedules and performance requirements.
May have budget responsibilities.
**Impact / Discretion**:
Poor decisions or failure to deliver results will increase costs and may impact short-term goal achievement.
Activity is wide-ranging, affecting the immediate project area and the actions of suppliers and end users.
**Interaction**:
Manages groups of supervisors and/or individual contributors.
Engages in recruitment and ensures ongoing individual development for direct reports.
Prepares and delivers performance reviews.
Makes compensation decisions.
Works internally and externally, ensuring that decisions are reached through effective and mutually beneficial collaboration.
**Supervision**:
Reports to Senior Manager or Director.
In some instances, may have functional or third party responsibility and, therefore, have no direct reports.
**Minimum Education and Experience**:
Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of related experience - And 2+ years of people management experience
Post-graduate work is desirable
OR equivalent combination of education and years of related experience
Good communication skills, strong leadership focus
Fluently speaking English
Chinese speaking is an asset
