**The Role**:
Shell MDS is the world’s first Commercial Gas to Liquids (GTL) plant in the world. Shell MDS forms two business locations: its manufacturing plant based in Bintulu, Sarawak, and its marketing operations in Kuala Lumpur. Join us in the team that ensures accurate reporting for the asset, coordinating local and group reporting activities, contribute to business planning and financials forecasting, and partnering with our colleagues in the business to deliver insights to drive and improve performance. In this role you will have the opportunity to manage a variety of accounting and financial issues and develop analytical skills to deliver business insights, assess and solve complex challenges including effective use and management of Shell’s ERP systems to deliver process excellence and Shell’s Control Framework. Purpose: This position will be responsible for a variety of Accounting, Reporting and Management Information activities related to Shell MDS business operations and may extend support to the wider Shell Gas to Liquids Strategic Asset Unit. The role reports to Shell MDS Planning & Reporting Lead and works closely with FiB, business colleagues and wider FO community to ensure efficient and effective processes are operated for the agreed scope. The role will be part of the pool of R&A analysts supporting the asset with scope continuously defined based on value and risk.

The key responsibilities related to Assets support for the pool will include:

- Manage operational deliveries to ensure timely quality month-end close and group reporting including handling of information into accounting and reporting systems and developing and sustaining knowledge retention
- Manage operational deliveries to ensure timely quality delivery of local statutory reporting
- First level analysis & ad hoc queries to support requests from the Business, Finance and other stakeholders
- Support planning, target setting & budgeting activities including OPEX and CAPEX management
- Support and implement Global Reporting & Analysis initiatives
- Drive/Explore data analysis opportunities to provide meaningful insights to the Business
- Operating Shell’s Internal control framework and achieve Operational Effectiveness of Key SOX and Non-SOX controls for the associated activities being carried out.
- Identify and contribute to continuous improvement opportunities and/or mitigate process inefficiencies
- Maintenance and support in setting up of correct & reliable master data (Cost Centre, Project codes, etc.) in the ERP
- Assisting with the process and internal/external audit requests
- Participate/ drive Financial Statement reviews to identify Financial/ Business risk.
- Requirements:

- Min 4 year of working experience with strong
- Strong ERP (GSAP R3, BW, GPMR etc.,.) and excel preferred.
- Experience in business intelligence tools like BI4, Spotfire is preferred.
- Experience of working in a virtual environment is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills
- Pro-active approach and the ability to identify and support resolving First Time right issues (eg: accounting & reporting issues etc.,.) in a dynamic environment
