We are looking to employ a dedicated junior level Quantity Surveyor to be part of our construction team in Alor Gajah, Melaka. Daily duties: Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals To assist evaluation of sub-contractor claims. Evaluation of tenders received in the form of tender reports. Do preparation of tender comparison and analysis. To assist scope clarification with tendered. To assist preparation and execution of the formal contract. Ensure filing and documentation is in compliance with the Department operation and ISO procedures. Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly Liaising with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors Keeping track of materials and ordering more when required Procure or agree on the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project Measure and value the work done on site and prepare progress claim. Traveling from the office to various sites as required Perform any ad-hoc tasks as and when required Requirements: Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor Sound knowledge of building codes and construction safety regulations. Working knowledge of construction tools and equipment. Preferable with ISO standard knowledge Experience in contract administration and claims management Familiar in pre-cost contract process and able to finalize VO and final accounts Verification of progress payment Excellent organizational and communication skills.
