Team Lead, Purchasing Operations

Job Description:
As a Team Lead, Purchasing Operations & Data Management, you will:

- Lead and development of standard purchasing procedures and support on backup plan for all APAC & ANZI sites on PO and vendor master. Ensure that proper purchasing processes and procedures are used in support of PO process and to improve these procedures as needed
- Lead team of direct and indirect purchasing transactional work and define KPIs and processes for which to measure individual’s performance and process efficiency. Assist team on problem solving
- Regular review with team on performance regarding key KPIs. Explore available technology and implement best practices to achieve high efficiency working process and environment
- Accomplish results through customer-focused teams, leveraging expertise via cross-functional communication and education
- Liaison with purchasing organization across regions and improve communication channel and effectiveness
- Collaborate with other functions to ensure purchasing in alignment with overall business objectives and enabling internal and external customer satisfaction
- Support on buyer training and regular reports management
- Responsible for regular reporting and data mining/management projects as requested
- Work closely with global purchasing team and lead / support system improvement project in the region
- Ariba Catalog management for APAC region and work closely with Sourcing organization, key users and SLP team on catalog optimization

What skills and experiences are we looking for?
- University degree or above in Chemicals, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting and Data Analytics background
- 3 years operation related working experiences in purchasing or similar functions
- 3 years team management skills
- Proven record on purchasing operation management in multi-national companies
- Fluency in English both oral and written. Chinese as a plus
- T system knowledge including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, SAP, Ariba, Power BI as a plus
- Understanding of purchasing operation process
- Ability and analytical experience to data mine with existing business systems
- Team player and facilitator, working with and influencing a diverse range of internal customers
- Solid understanding of process improvement strategies for process efficiency
