**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Plan, prepare, and cook authentic Indian dishes, including appetizers, main courses, desserts, and bread.
- Develop and update the Indian cuisine menu, ensuring a balance of traditional and innovative dishes.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
- Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients, ensuring freshness and quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, sharing your knowledge and expertise in Indian cuisine.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create special menus for events, festivals, and promotions.
- Monitor food costs and minimize waste to maintain profitability.
- Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate new ideas into the menu.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as an Indian Chef in a high-end restaurant, hotel, or resort.
- In-depth knowledge of Indian spices, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
- Strong understanding of vegetarian and non-vegetarian Indian cuisine.
- Ability to create and execute a diverse and innovative menu.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Experience working in an international or multicultural environment.
- Familiarity with Malaysian or Southeast Asian culinary preferences.
- Passion for creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
