With 41 outlets across Peninsular Malaysia and counting, we are on an exciting growth journey We are looking for detail-oriented and passionate individuals to join our dynamic finance team as an Accounting Assistant.
**Responsibilities**
- General Ledger (GL)_
- Assist in preparing and posting journal entries.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations (e.g., bank, intercompany, accruals).
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain proper supporting documentation for GL entries.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and schedules for internal and external use.
- Accounts Payable (AP)_
- Process supplier invoices and verify supporting documents.
- Code and enter invoices accurately into the accounting system.
- Prepare payment vouchers and assist in payment processing.
- Reconcile supplier statements and handle AP inquiries.
- Track outstanding invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Treasury_
- Monitor daily cash balances and bank transactions.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and cash flow tracking reports.
- Assist in processing bank transactions (fund transfers, deposits).
- Maintain records of company bank accounts, signatories, and facilities.
- Other Duties_
- Maintain organized filing of accounting records (digital and physical).
- Assist in audit and tax-related tasks by preparing requested documents.
- Support process improvement initiatives within the finance function.
- Perform ad-hoc finance-related assignments as required.
**Requirements**:
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; 1-2 years of relevant accounting or audit experience is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of accounting standards (MFRS and MPERS) and double entry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with AutoCount is a plus.
- Thrive in a fast-paced working environment and maintain composure under pressure.
- Good attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
