Radiographer

To handle and operate radiation emitted modality during radiology procedure.
- Perform general and special imaging work in the department, ward and operating theatre as X-Ray service may be required.
- Responsible for maintaining radiation protection to the patient and others all the times assist with positioning and lifting of patients on the examination couch and to the wheel chair
- Carry out X-ray procedures as assigned includes general x-ray, fluoroscopy procedures, portable X-rays, operating theatre procedures, CT-scan, mammography, MRI and on-call duties.
- Explain and ensure that patient understands the nature of the procedures.
- Ensure the equipment is regularly checked for malfunctions and any faults are reported.
- To be on-calls after office hours, weekend and any other particular time when it is required.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**
- Greet and log in patients arriving at office or clinic.
- Perform x-ray examinations to the patients and other general radiology services as per doctor's instruction.
- Assist the doctors in providing other related x-ray services as per the job requirement.
- Maintain/perform minor repairs of medical instruments i.e. x-ray machines and processor when require or on ad-hoc basis, in supporting the maintenance of medical instruments by engaging qualified suppliers.
- Using medical equipment such as x-ray machine etc. with proper techniques and professionalism.
- Ensure safety precautions are taken and abiding to safety rules and ensuring all equipment are handled with care with safety procedures always.
- Ensure sufficient supply of medical consumables for clinic usage when needed by ensuring medical supplies are available at all times.
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.
- Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician/doctor
- Show patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician/doctor
- Explain simple treatment procedures, medications, diets, or physicians' instructions to patients
- Help physicians examine and treat patients, handing them instruments or materials or performing such tasks as giving injections or removing sutures
- Collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens, log the specimens, and prepare them for testing
- Perform general office duties, such as answering telephones, taking dictation, or completing insurance/claim forms
- Greet and log in patients arriving at office or clinic
- Answer telephones, direct calls, and take messages.
- Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing, and database systems, either manually or using a computer.
- Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, take orders, and address complaints.

**REQUIREMENT**
- Diploma or Degree in Medical Imaging / Radiographer.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Computer literate.
- Independent and able to work in groups.
- Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
