Staff Nurse

**JOB REQUIREMENT**
- Possess Diploma or Bachelor in Nursing from recognized university/ institutions.
- Registered with Nursing Board of Malaysia with a valid license to practise as a Registered Nurse.
- At least 1 year experience in related field.
- Possess post basic in ICU/ Renal/ Pediatric/ Midwifery/ Peri-operative/ Trauma/ Orthopedic would be an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Caring, honest and responsible worker.
- Willingness to work on scheduled hours, shift and weekends, public holidays, on call and anytime when called during emergency.
- Microsoft Office literacy.
- Those without Post Basic Certification and fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Primary Purpose**:

- To provide nursing care to patients on dialysis treatment.
- To assist the Head Nurse / Staff Nurse In-Charge in the running of the dialysis centre.

**Accountabilities**:

- To provide standard of nursing care of all patients in the dialysis centre.
- To observe guidelines on nursing procedures and other standard medical procedures. All staff are required to wear uniform and observe Standard Precaution methods at all times during duty.
- To supervise newly hired nurse on probation period in clinical & nursing procedures
- To ensure that all dialysis machines are clean and safe to be used.
- To be proficient in the commencement of patients on dialysis such as cannulation of fistula needles and observe patients during dialysis.
- To attend to any medical emergency on machine malfunction immediately.
- To administer drugs according to the Nephrologist's order/prescription.
- To ensure blood investigations are carried out on schedule or as instructed by the doctor. All blood results to be reviewed, and filed. Any abnormalities of the results should be notified to doctor immediately.
- To ensure patients’ medical files including prescriptions and doctor’s notes are updated on timely manner
- To inform the Head Nurse of any adverse change in the patients’ clinical status, defective medical equipment, incidents and complaints. To hand over daily occurrence and status to the staff nurse of the next shift via the incident book.
- To inform patients of their next treatment dates and to notify Head Nurse of any changes in schedule.
- To perform counseling and education of patients, including diet and rehabilitation and maintain its evidence
- To ensure that the dignity, safety and wellbeing of the patient are respected at all times.
- To observe codes of confidentiality in the nursing care of the individual patient.
- To develop good communication with patients' relatives and visitors. To greet patient and be courteous to them.
- To maintain professional behavior, appearance and attitudes at all times.
- To work overtime should the need arise. To inform doctor or the Country Office if any staff is absent after informing the nurse in charge.
- To perform other duties as directed by Head Nurse and doctor or any senior personnel appointed by the management and willing to be deployed or relocated.
- To monitor patient absenteeism rate & required action to be taken accordingly.
- To perform clinical practices according to company guidelines.
- To make sure the patient meets the desired clinical KPI
- To ensure update into RQMT of any incident that occurs in the clinic.
- To ensure Hospitalization & Mortality Rates are updated in Euclid appropriately.

**Salary**: RM2,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
