**Job Functions**:

- Recognise the unique abilities of individuals and assist others in valuing everyone’s contributions
- Encourage, support, motivate, and work interactively with early childhood educators/caregivers to develop and implement ongoing goals.
- Support the teacher/caregiver to provide environments and opportunities which promote the child’s growth and development for any of the developmental domains according to Melody Kindyland’s curriculum (language and literacy, health and physical development, approaches to learning, social emotional development, creative arts, science, mathematics).
- Assist early childhood educators/caregivers to structure environments, routines and interactions that contribute to positive social-emotional outcomes for the children and their families.
- Assist early childhood educators/caregivers to structure environments, routines and interactions that contribute to a positive social behaviour support plan for the child.

**Responsibilities**:

- Build relationships with other team members based on mutual respect, demonstrate effective communication skills, practice conflict resolution skills, have an on
- going commitment to learning, possess good observation skills, model best practices working with young children.
- Stay current on updates and changes in accreditation systems (nationally and internationally)
- Facilitate a process to help team members develop individual plans to improve their environments, teaching practices to support young children’s growth and development, and overall curriculum quality.
- Offer resources and strategies to team members to enhance relationships, create appropriate environments, and teaching skills.
- Check in periodically with team members to offer support and guide.
- Contact community partners to access external support when needed.
- Initiating and hold periodic meetings and training of early childhood educators.
- Willingness to travel within Malaysia.

**Experiences**:

- Minimum 10 years of teaching experience with young learners from 18 months to 6 years old
- Minimum 5 years experience in supervisory or managerial position, coaching/ mentoring/ training early childhood teachers
- Familiar with Malaysian Early Childhood Education framework and having knowledge in international early childhood best practices is ideal
- Familiar with various Child Development and Education Theories
- Exposed to a variety of teaching methodology and approaches (Guided-Discovery Learning, Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Project Based Learning or Thematic/Play-based Learning) Knowledge and education regarding developmentally appropriate practices.
- Strong collaboration, communication, critical thinking, caring and creativity skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills, competent interpersonal skills, and strong organisational skills.
- Fluent in English (Fluency in Bahasa Melayu and Mandarin is highly preferable)
- Ability to travel to appointments, meetings, and training sessions which may require overnight stay.
- Computer literate.
