**Job Title**: Environmental Officer
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, laws, and company policies.
- Obtain necessary environmental permits and approvals.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIA) for projects.
- Monitor environmental conditions such as air quality, water discharge, and noise levels.
- Perform site inspections and audits for environmental compliance.
- Develop and implement waste management strategies.
- Monitor and manage pollution control measures.
- Promote the use of eco-friendly materials and sustainable practices.
- Implement energy-efficient practices and reduce carbon footprint.
- Prepare and submit regular environmental reports to management and authorities.
- Maintain records of environmental incidents and ensure corrective actions.
- Organize environmental awareness training for employees and contractors.
- Ensure staff are aware of environmental policies and practices.
- Respond to environmental emergencies, such as spills or pollution incidents.
- Conduct investigations into environmental incidents and implement preventive measures.
- Liaise with external agencies during environmental emergencies.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental management, preferably in construction.
- Knowledge of environmental laws and best practices in construction.
- Familiarity with EIA and ISO 14001 standards.
- Strong communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

**Work Conditions**:

- Site-based role with outdoor work in varying conditions.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,300.00 per month

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend jobs

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Kuching (Kuching): Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
