- May generate hypotheses, drawing from a broad range of sources and functions.
- May test and validate hypotheses to generate data driven insights that can deliver improved business results.

Business Accountabilities- Generate data driven insights.
- Perform analysis under supervision via data manipulation, correlation tests and other statistical analysis to produce robust data.
- Support the research and recommended solutions to complex business issues and make recommendations on model inputs and end products to improve performance.
- Begin to establish collaborative relationships throughout the organization to build up network for future use.
- Under supervision, formulate model data requirements and specifications for small projects to produce reliable data in support of more senior colleagues.
- May structure business challenges/opportunities for model development, data sourcing, hypothesis generation and testing to support the analytical capabilities of the function.

Job Qualifications- Required:
- Bachelors Degree and No prior experience required in the Predictive Analytics area

OR- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 or more years of experience in the Predictive Analytics area

OR- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and No prior experience required in the Predictive Analytics area

Preferred:
- Masters Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Mathematics/Statistics or Information Technology
- Experience with statistical and predictive analytics techniques such as machine learning, decision trees, probability networks, association rules, clustering, regression, and neural networks
- Ability to identify potential solutions to business problems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
