**About the Role**:
**What You Will Do**:

- The Regional CISO will set up and lead the APAC Security team, and also will cover/support follow the sun when the CISO in US (Reinsurance Group of America) is not available.
- ** Lead** a senior team responsible for regional security architecture, engineering, governance, risk, compliance, and incident response.
- ** Support** global information security policies and standards, recommending updates and leading regional implementation to ensure effective risk management.
- ** Drive** the deployment of security capabilities, including architectural design, configuration, risk assessment, data analysis, and alerting mechanisms.
- ** Enhance** existing capabilities by improving people, processes, and technology to increase maturity levels and reduce exposure to threat actors.
- ** Provide** expert guidance on information security, data privacy, disaster recovery, and physical security while staying ahead of emerging risks and trends.
- ** Represent** regional security leadership in governance, risk management, operations, and incident response to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- ** Coach and manage** departmental leaders, overseeing hiring, training, performance reviews, and career development to build a high-performing security team.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- ** Experience**:

- 15+ years of overall professional experience, including 15+ years in information security.
- 10+ years of progressive IT experience with leadership responsibilities.
- 7+ years in large, global organizations.
- 3+ years in technology architecture and development.
3+ years dealing directly with advanced threat actors and implementing defensive strategies.
- ** Technical Expertise**:

- Broad knowledge of security technologies, vendors, and industry trends.
Deep understanding of identity and access management, security operations, incident response, and policy development.
- ** Leadership & Skills**:

- Proven experience as a security technology leader with strong implementation capabilities.
- Exceptional strategic planning, decision-making, and project management skills.
- Strong communication, persuasion, and collaboration abilities to engage stakeholders effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, develop, and lead high-performing teams.
- ** Certifications**: CISSP required (CISM or equivalent certifications preferred).
