1. To develop and implement new methods of teaching to reflect changes in research; 2. To design, prepare and develop teaching materials; 3. To deliver lectures, seminars and tutorials; 4. To assess students' coursework and assignments; 5. To set and mark examinations; 6. To invigilate examinations 7. To coordinate modules 8. To support students through a pastoral/advisory role; 9. To undertake personal research projects and actively contributing to the institution's research profile; 10. To write up research and preparing it for publication; 11. To supervise students' research activities; 12. To undertake continuous professional development (CPD) and participating in staff training activities; 13. To undertake administrative tasks related to the department, such as student admissions, act as module coordinator, semester coordinator, induction programmes and involvement in committees and boards, university projects; 14. To manage and supervise staff - at a senior level this may include the role of head of department; 15. To represent the IMU at professional conferences and seminars, and contributing to these as necessary; 16. To establish collaborative links outside the university with industrial, commercial and public organisations. 17. Any other duties as assigned by the Dean or Management
