The Financial Analyst will be supporting Financial Controller for all aspects of finance, management reporting, local statutory and tax, forecasts, cashflow, credit and treasury functions for the Malaysia, Japan and Korea organization. Works closely with Malaysia, Japan and Korea sales team, sales support team and finance team on invoice coordination, order backlog, cashflow, forecasts, variance analysis, local collections, local statutory compliance and any other administration and issues impacting Steelcase’s business in Malaysia, Japan and Korea.**Responsibilities**:

- Accounting and Local Statutory Requirements
- Work closely with finance team in KL Global Business center for Account receivables, Account payables, intercompany, GL and account reconciliations processes.
- Monthly analysis and variance explanations for reporting of financial results and various deliverables to meet Group reporting requirements.
- Evaluate various accounting variances, reports, and records, with proposed solutions.
- Managing General Ledger function for Japan-Korea entities.
- Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing including reviewing OPEX variance analysis
- Balance sheet review including accrual review monthly and yearly.
- Assist in the annual external audit and annual tax filing to government authority.
- Monthly and quarterly MSC company status reporting and MDEC Grant investment progress tracking - MDEC reporting
- Positively respond to both our internal and external parties through effective and regular communication.
- Financial planning and analysis
- Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts etc) considering company’s goals and financial standing.
- Monitor closing, forecasting, and budgeting process to ensure timely submission from all HoD.
- Identify trends, advise company, and recommend actions based on sound analysis.
- Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts.
- Track global intercompany matching and data tie-outs between various systems.
- Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function.
- Provide finance system user support.
- Business Partnering
- Monthly and quarterly business partnering report.
- Assist to act as business partner and provide financial support and advice for decision making to the controller.
- Work with standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meeting stipulated deadlines-Business transformation.
- Gain and update job knowledge to remain informed about the business.
- To maintain great relationship with business partner at any time required
- Other Ad-hoc work requested by controllers.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting or Economics.
- At least 3 to 5 years commercial experience, with regional experience a plus.
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, both in English.
