Your role
We are seeking passionate and driven individuals, to join our Malaysia sales organization. This position will focus on driving our business and the brand within Malaysia Wholesale market, being responsible for finding new opportunities and opening new accounts by selling strategies to all teammates within this channel of trade. Working closely with the Commercial Director and the internal cross-functional partners from Product, Merchandising, Marketing, Finance and Planning - this person will help ensure all brands’ products are powerfully positioned in the sport market to drive sales and compelling storytelling for the brand.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Drive increased sales and sell-through in targeted sales channels and product categories
- Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales target and expand customer base in Malaysia
- Lead the local cross functional team in Go-To-Market planning and execution on a seasonal basis
- Develop, maintain, and manage account relationships at all levels
- Create the sales vision and execution plan that connects brands with consumers in Malaysia in a powerful way that is consistent with our overall brand voice in all relevant points of distribution
- Analyze and utilize category data to aid in pitches and proposals
Sports Business Development Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Identify opportunities to achieve growth within the distribution and product categories with exciting partners and prospects
- Identify key trends and proposed sports experiential events
- Identify potential prospects and top athletes in the local market to explore potential athlete representation and collaboration
- Explore potential collaboration with existing sports rights holders to explore co-creating event/experience for the market

Key Account Strategy:
- Develop customer sales strategies by brand to achieve sales goals as established by the Commercial Director, build Joint Business Plans which aligns customer needs and company future goals.
- Newness Presentation: Develops and leads sales and product presentations to each account.
- Sell in Achievement: Responsible for meeting and exceeding weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual goals (Unit and $ sales, Brands contribution % split) by meeting targets by brand by customer.
- Market Visit: Maintain steady in-store visitation frequency to ensure implementation and execution of brand presence, door volume, visual roll-out and driving product turn.
- Forecast & Analysis: Forecasts weekly sales and for all special projects; provides analysis of account sales, inventory, marketing initiatives and merchandising presentations.
- Assortment Setup: Implement and manage customer assortments by brands at the customer level; Interface with planner on inventory needs and changes to account assortments, inclusive of POSM sales; Establishes Merchandising program in line with direction from corporate office, customized to meet customer needs.
- Instore Maximization: Work closely with Trade Marketing team to maximize LUXOTTICA Instore presence and coordinates needs with customers’ Marketing Department, inclusive of advertised images and POP needed for accounts based on their sell in commitment.
- Meetings and Reviews: Conducts monthly business reviews and quarterly meetings with business partners to ensure delivery of agreed KPIs, and targets.
- Accounts Receivable: Consistently ensures that customer’s due are paid in a timely manner.
- Environment: Keeps abreast with market conditions, competitor activities, advertising, and promotional trends.
