**SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

1. The Security Officer shall be responsible to the Safety & Security Supervisor in charge of the shift

2. The Security Officer shall be scheduled for duty in accordance to the Employee Schedule Record (Duty Roster)

3. The Security Officer when on duty, shall attend briefing session during Officers

mounting and debriefing before signing off for duty. Mounting shall take place 15 minutes before commencement of shift and dismount after relieved-in-line

4. Assist the Safety & Security Supervisor in the operation of the entire complex covering:

- Guests, employees, owners against threats, intrusion, and other criminal activities uncalled for
- Performs post duties at designated locations and responsible for the transfer of guest luggage to and from the apartments on arrival and departure

5. Instill Safety & Security awareness amongst the employees in the Preventive Safety & Security Program

6. Protecting others against risk to safety and security in connection to threats arising out of the activities in the premises

7. Ensures all Emergency, Safety and Security Regulations in the premises are observed and adhered to

8. Assist the local authorities; attend to inquiries and members of the public in need of assistance

9. Registration and issuance of entry passes to visitors/vendors who have dealings with the residence

10. Screen all incoming items, parcels, package etc. to determine their validity and safety. Ensure that all out-going packages are only allowed when accompanied by authorized documents issued and approved by Heads of Department

11. Enforce the Key Control Procedures - issue to authorized personnel only. Inventories must be carried out at every change in position

12. Vehicles entering and exiting the Receiving Bay or Loading Bay must be monitored and checked

13. Conduct periodical spot check on employees at their workstations

14. Secure and check exits/entrances of Citadines Uplands Kuching

15. Ensures free flow of traffic around the complex and in the car park of Citadines Uplands Kuching

16. Ensures that all garbage going out is properly sorted out for equipment so that this is not used as means to get things out of the premises

17. Familiarizes with the Buildings Emergency Procedures

18. Performs crowd or traffic control to avoid congestion and direct vehicles to entrance of Citadines Uplands Kuching

19. Escort cashiers from various outlets to the safe whenever required

20. Upon the arrival of guests by vehicle such as car, van, taxi, limousine etc. to promptly open the passenger’s car door and greet guests on arrival

21. To handle the guest luggage with proper care and record the entire guest luggage which are to be kept in the luggage store. To ensure that the luggage are locked and secured

22. To issue the guest with the guest portion of the luggage tag and to tag the luggage accordingly

23. To check daily occupied room status and deliver newspaper to respective apartments in the morning

24. Assists in the maintenance of continuous surveillance of the apartment, areas frequent by guest and work areas of employees

25. Ensures that all employees abide by the House Rules and Regulations

27. Report exits, passageway, stairways which are obstructed

28. Responsible for FCC Operation through:
a) Surveillance by keeping vigilance over the CCTV monitor with view to detect:

- Human traffic entering / leaving the premises, particularly criminals
- Misdemeanors committed by employees
- Any unusual activities

b) Follow-up by taking prompt action through the transceiver (walkie-talkie) to alert the Safety & Security Supervisor or Safety & Security Manager to the scene

c) Maintaining by ensuring that the CCTV equipment is in good working order

d) Maintaining the CCTV Incident Log Entry by recording details of occurrences and action taken

e) Monitor the Fire Control Panel, Door Alarm Sensor, Lift Supervisory Panel and other Security system installed in the Fire Control Room

f) Respond promptly to all alarm activation and alert signals. Document all activities in the Station Diary

29. Enforce House Rules and Regulations lay by the Management

30. Attends all approved training courses conducted by the Human Resources / Training Department or Department Internal Training

31. Attend meeting and in-service training conducted by the department and attendance is compulsory except those on official duty

32. Performs posts duties at designated location

33. Performs duties common to all Security Officer and other duties as directed by your immediate superior
