**ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES**

This role is part of GBS Corporate Finance Team.

The primary responsibility of the role is to proactively lead the delivery of Group Management and Statutory Reporting information and drive operational improvements. Group Management information will include financial details and scenarios required for S&OP meetings, budget and for actuals. This will include co-ordination of assumption and other data inputs, running the forecasting process activities, preparation and generation of financial data and quality review. Operational improvements will include identifying key areas for better integration in financial planning with the key objective to drive simplification.

Reports to: Senior Manager, Planning & Reporting in GBS APME

Reporting Level: Lead others

Geographic Scope: Selangor, Malaysia

**WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR**
- Manage the delivery of financial information, scenarios and submissions of corporate finance activities for specified country while managing SOP reported number in BPC and first level commentaries. This includes monthly/quarterly tracking as per IBPM calendar.
- Supports EM to lead financial performance, identify risk and opportunities, resources prioritization, in order to close financial gaps to deliver results
- Preparing and delivering accurate information (Budgets, Forecasts and Actual results), in line with group accounting principles to assure a proper disclosure of company financial information to key stakeholders.
- Supervising and controlling team activities related to BPC to ensure accurate accounting reporting and system/validation controls
- Handling accounting policy and procedure inquiries and ad hoc reporting and analysis requests - providing periodic customer/site training & issue resolution
- Developing tools and assisting in automating processes, utilising innovative technical and processing solutions
- Maintaining complete and accurate task level descriptions, standard operating procedures and support SOX control documentation requirements
- Understanding the functionality, interfaces, and interdependencies of the financial processes and systems; ensure the existence of adequate internal controls and drive efficiencies across the processes.

**ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE**
- Preferably more than 7 years of progressive experience in FMCG or Corporate Finance.
- At least a first degree in Accounting / Accounting & Finance. Possessing Accounting Professional Qualification will be an added advantage.
- Able to drive projects and process improvements and handle remote stakeholders.
- Creative and analytic skills.
- Experience in managing teams and various stakeholders within/outside the organisation.
- A thorough understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems, specifically BI/BPC, SAP or ERP equivalent.
- Knowledge and experience in IFRS (international financial reporting standards) and SOx.
- Knowledgeable in identifying risks and in implementing controls.
