Junior Drafter

A junior drafter in an M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) company typically has the following job scope:
1. Drafting and Drawing Support: Assist in preparing detailed mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) drawings and schematics based on project specifications and supervisor guidance.

2. Revisions and Updates: Make revisions to existing drawings as per design changes, client requests, or engineering instructions.

3. Plan and Documentation Preparation: Assist with the preparation of shop drawings, as-built drawings, and technical documentation for project submission and construction.

4. Coordination: Support coordination efforts between different disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil) to ensure proper integration of systems.

5. Material and Equipment Layouts: Create layouts for equipment, sensors, wiring, piping, and ductwork based on project standards and technical requirements.

6. Material Takeoffs and Quantity Surveys: Assist in the preparation of material lists and quantity estimates for procurement and construction planning.

7. Adherence to Standards: Ensure drawings conform to industry standards, company standards, and client specifications.

8. Communication: Collaborate with senior drafters, engineers, and project managers to clarify design details and project requirements.

9. Documentation Control: Organize and file drawings, revisions, and related documents systematically.

10. Learning and Development: Continually improve CAD skills and knowledge of M&E systems through training and hands-on experience.

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
