FWD Technology and Innovation Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., known as FWD TIM, was established in late 2019. PURPOSE
This role is responsible for defining and implementing the role testing plays within the organizational structure. The manager must manage and implement or maintain an effective testing process which involves creating a test infrastructure that supports robust communication and a cost-effective testing framework. The key responsibility of the Test Manager is to ensure quality delivery through the implementation and maintenance of such test processes.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Governance_- Provide overall governance of Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Test.- Provide and implement overall Testing Operating Model and ensure Operating Model is maintained across projects.- Meet project schedule timeline- Deploy and manage the appropriate testing framework to meet the testing mandate- Ensure Requirement Traceability in test scope
Operational
- Test Planning and Management_:_- Create Test Strategy- QA Resource demand supply management- Estimation for QA & UAT- Create QA & UAT test Plan including test matrix and test cycle planning.- Identify dependencies and participants required to mitigate the risks to system quality and obtain stakeholder support for this plan- Define the scope of testing within the context of each project/ release / delivery- Planning, deploying, and managing the testing effort for any given engagement / release- Arrange the Hardware and software requirement for the Test Setup- Co-ordinate intra-project testing effort- Communicate test planning decisions- Capturing and reporting changes correctly and consistently- Provide Business Readiness Support and Live provisioning- Test Execution Management:_- Manage and execute test plan, cycle and test matrix- Test resource task assignment and management- Co-ordination of UAT with regular reporting to Programme/Project Manager and key stakeholders.- Facilitate and consolidate test scenarios, test cases and test data based on Business Process- Quality Assurance on Test Plan and results- Drive metrics collection to quantify the benefits derived out of the updated testing methodology, tools and environment usage
- People Management Responsibilities:_- Lead and mentor the QA team members who support Business Units, primarily for Singapore at the beginning.- Act as the Person-In-Charge (PIC) for BU on the manual QA testing team in TIM Malaysia.- Support the onboarding of new team members- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, encouraging open communication and continuous improvement.- Provide regular feedback, coaching, and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and performance.- Ensure the team is aligned with the overall goals and objectives of the organization and support their professional growth.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE- Bachelor’s degree in IT/Insurance/ Finance, or equivalent area of study.- At least 7 years of experience in Life & GI Insurance- Proven experience as team member in system project implementation- Experience as team lead on QA activity
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY- Strong knowledge of Life & GI insurance products and the business processes-
- Good knowledge of Test Management methodologies, tools, processes, and procedures- Highly experienced in in managing test cycles with track record of quality delivery.- Proficient in business and financial analysis and business case development.- Highly experienced in requirements traceability and defining test scenarios and test scripts.- Strong stakeholder management and excellent verbal and written communication skills.- Ability to work under pressure and to handle tight deadlines.- Self-motivated and able to lead a team to deliver efficient and quality results- Automation testi
