Production Lead

**Job summary**

The Production Lead will support the Production Manager in overseeing production activities and enhancing operational efficiency within the organization. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to coordinate daily production tasks.

**Job description**

**1. Productivity Management**:

- Assist in implementing production strategies that increase throughput, reduce costs, and improve quality across the production process.
- Coordinate daily production activities to meet or exceed established production schedules and goals while interfacing with other department leads.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to approved manufacturing best practices and methodologies.
- Support the development of production documentation and ensure compliance with quality procedures and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure successful project transfers and transitions.

**2. Personnel and Performance Management**:

- Assist in establishing departmental key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with organizational objectives.
- Manage shop floor employees to ensure output targets are met, take care of attendance, and develop motivation programs to enhance team performance.
- Identify training needs for team members and support the timely implementation of training plans to enhance employee skills and performance.
- Coordinate and provide necessary technical training for employees, such as IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/21, and other relevant training required, in line with job requirements.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Help develop annual and periodic performance goals for team members, ensuring alignment with the agreed performance management system.

**3. Budget and Resource Management**:

- Assist in monitoring departmental budgets and ensuring activities align with budgetary constraints.
- Support investment planning and implementation initiatives, including equipment replacement and technology upgrades.

**4. Legal and Safety Compliance**:

- Ensure that all production activities comply with legal and safety requirements.
- Support the implementation of necessary changes to policies and procedures to ensure compliance.

**5. Others**
- **Business Intelligence**: Contribute to the analysis of opportunities and trends, leveraging business intelligence to support strategic decision-making.
- **Improvement and Maintenance of Equipment**: Assist in the development and prioritization of frameworks for cost-effective maintenance and repair of equipment to minimize downtime and enhance performance.
- **Warehouse Management**:Coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information within the supply chain department, oversee material storage, finished goods management, logistics shipping, inventory management, and packaging for dispatch within the warehouse.
- **Facility Management**:Provide support in managing and controlling factory utilities supply, ensuring efficient utilization of the facility and shop floor.

**Qualification and Requirements**
- Proven track record with over 3 years of hands-on experience in operation management roles in the EMS industry.
- Thorough knowledge and hands-on experience in SMT processes and THT processes and other PCB assembly processes, with a deep understanding of the intricacies involved in manufacturing complex electronic assemblies.
- A strategic thinker with the ability to conceptualize and drive forward-thinking quality initiatives, adapting to the evolving needs of a dynamic business environment.
- Capable of hands-on, proactive engagement across end-to-end operations, demonstrating strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail to identify root causes and devise targeted solutions for enhancing operational performance through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the management.

Pay: From RM8,000.00 per month
