**Key Responsibilities**: - Oversee and manage safety within the factory to ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies. - Regularly inspect factory equipment, facilities, and work environments for safety, identifying and reporting potential hazards. - Develop and update Safety Operating Procedures (SOPs) and conduct safety training for employees. - Organize and conduct regular safety drills and emergency response exercises. - Participate in accident investigations, analyze the causes, and propose corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. - Monitor the usage and condition of safety equipment to ensure it is properly maintained and compliant. - Coordinate external safety inspections and certification processes to ensure the factory meets local safety laws and regulations. - Handle any ad hoc tasks or assignments from the superior or management as needed. - Regularly report safety conditions to superiors or management and suggest improvements. **Qualification / Knowledge / Skills Requirements**: - Minimum of a Diploma in Safety Management, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. - At least 4 years of experience in the manufacturing industry / factory safety management, preferably in a plastic manufacturing environment. - Familiarity with Malaysian safety regulations and standards; certifications such as OSH are an advantage. - Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with employees and management. - High level of responsibility with the ability to independently identify and resolve safety hazards. - Proficiency in English and Malay, with the ability to communicate with a diverse workforce. - Experience in emergency response and accident investigation is preferred. **Authority**: - Conduct safety inspections, audits, and investigations with authority to stop unsafe operations. - Liaise with regulatory bodies such as DOSH and BOMBA for safety certifications, reports, and incident follow-ups. - Issue warnings or recommendations to management on non-compliance or unsafe practices. - Lead the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and conduct drills as needed. **Working Conditions**: - Based in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, heat, and potentially hazardous substances.. - quires use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during site inspections (helmet, safety shoes, ear protection, etc.). - Involves frequent walkabouts in production areas, warehouses, and utility rooms. - May work irregular hours during incidents, emergencies, or audits. - Collaboration with HR, production, maintenance, and external auditors is frequent. **Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)**: - Number of safety trainings conducted per quarter. - Percentage of corrective actions closed from safety audits (target >90%). - Response time to reported safety incidents or near misses. - Compliance score during DOSH or internal EHS audits. - Employee safety awareness and participation rate in safety programs. - Number of reported hazards resolved within timeline. - Reduction in first aid or medical treatment cases year-on-year. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month **Benefits**: - Opportunities for promotion - Professional development Schedule: - Day shift Supplemental Pay: - Overtime pay - Yearly bonus Work Location: In person
