Technician / Mechanic (Foreman)

**Responsibilities:

- **
- To perform regular service, maintenance, and repair work on material handling equipment such as forklift, caterpillar, lorry and etc. This involves working with hydraulic systems, maintaining electrical systems, and checking for structural problems.
- Able to diagnose faults or malfunctions, repair, troubleshooting and testing of material handling equipment.
- Immediate respond to emergency case for material handling equipment breakdown.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on material handling equipment as scheduled.
- Upkeep preventive maintenance such as overhaul, engine tune-ups, oil changes, replacing filters, pneumatic and hydraulic system, liquid propane, gas, and diesel engines, electric motors, transmissions, drive axles, brake systems, steering systems, electrical systems(AC & DC), lifting systems, compressor, generator and etc.,
- Weld or solder broken parts and structural members, using electric or gas welders and soldering tools.
- Able to repair and replace damaged or worn parts. Repair, rewire and troubleshoot electrical systems.
- Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
- Upkeep material handling equipment’s service/repair records/logs for traceability purpose.
- Maintain and ensure regular spare part’s safety level and supplies needed in order for job completion on time.
- Ensure good housekeeping practice in the workshop and adhere to safety regulations.
- Foster innovation culture and improve work flow among subordinates.
- Take full responsibility on production’s 5S, continual improvement of company’s quality management system and approved procedures implementation.
- To undertake any other related jobs directed by the superior/management from time to time.

**Requirements:

- **Academy**

Ø Minimum diploma, vocational education or professional certificate in relevant field or. Preferably with electrical /mechanical knowledge.
- **Experience**

Ø Possess 3-5 years working experience in forklift repair or related field.
- **Skill**

Ø Knowledge of automotive and heavy machineries such as forklift, caterpillar, lorry and etc.

Ø Excellent electrical & mechanical aptitude, technical knowledge and problem solving skills.

Ø Must have knowledge of PLC’s, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical fuel systems and/or charging systems.

Ø Proven experience as maintenance technician and familiarity of general maintenance processes & methods.

Ø Able to withstand extreme temperatures environment, work around fumes, odours, chemicals and loud noises

Ø Able and willing to work unusual shifts, including evening, public holiday or weekend call-ins as necessary.

Ø Able to communicate in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin. Computer literacy.

Ø Able to work independently with minimum or no supervision.

Ø Keen for new experience, responsibility and accountability. Able to get on with others and be a team-player.

Ø Personality: People oriented, leadership skills, interpersonal skills, self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, mature, credible, and comfortable in dealing with colleagues. Reliable, tolerant, and determined. Good communication skill, able to see things from the other person's point of view. Willing to participate in company activities/events.
