Job Description**
BROAD FUNCTIONS**:
**Join a team of equipment technicians to perform new machines installation. This includes all the preparation work for machine arrival, machine move-in, decontamination, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Also, work together with process technicians until the machine is released to production.**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Regular**:

- Work closely with Equipment Engineer on machine installation planning and scheduling
- Perform machine installation as per the schedule and report its progress
- Conduct toolbox briefing for vendors and escort vendors coming in and out of the production floor
- Ensure proper housekeeping at the installation site is always maintained
- Always follow cleanroom protocol to avoid cross contaminations
- Perform Site Acceptance Test on new equipment for machine buy-off
- To generate and conduct training for the manufacturing operators
- Perform machine hardware installation and troubleshooting
- Ensure installation site is following Safety and Health compliance
- Liaise with facility team for machine utility requirement and hook up
- Work with Process and Equipment Engineers on improvement project and cost-saving project
- Liaise with vendors to ensure activities completed within the targeted timeframe
- Check spare parts availability to ensure always adequate for machine sustaining
- Provide guidance to fellow technicians for all machine-related issues.
**Irregular (if any)**:

- Traveling to other Western Digital sites or supplier sites to provide support for machine-related issues.
- Working overtime or during off days if required
- Support other installation teams if extra manpower needed

**Qualifications**:
Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Mechatronic Engineering
