- Key Responsibilities:

- Operation and Maintenance:

- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, including transformers, switchgears, and distribution boards operating at 11kV.
- Ensure all electrical equipment and installations comply with regulatory standards and safety requirements.
- Inspection and Testing:
*
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of electrical systems to ensure functionality and safety.
- Identify and rectify faults or issues in electrical systems and equipment.
- Compliance and Safety:
*
- Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical standards, codes, and regulations.
- Implement and maintain safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure personnel safety.
- Documentation and Reporting:
*
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and test results.
- Prepare and submit reports on electrical system performance, maintenance activities, and incidents.
- Emergency Response:
*
- Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and faults, providing timely and effective solutions.
- Coordinate with other teams and departments during emergencies to ensure mínimal downtime and safety.
- Energy Management:
*
- Monitor and optimize energy usage to ensure the efficient operation of electrical systems.
- Implement energy-saving measures and initiatives.
- Training and Supervision:

- Provide guidance and training to junior technicians and staff on electrical maintenance and safety procedures.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of electrical maintenance teams.
- Project Management:

- Participate in planning and executing electrical projects, upgrades, and installations.
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.
- Job Requirements:

- Certification: Valid BO Chargeman certificate issued by the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) Malaysia.
- Education: Diploma or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in high voltage systems.
- Skills:

- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety standards, and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Physical Requirements:

- Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Work Environment:

- The role typically involves working in industrial settings, such as manufacturing plants, commercial buildings, or utility facilities.
- May require working in shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- On-call availability for emergency situations.
