JOB DESCRIPTION FOR RADIOLOGY ASSISTANT 1. Assist Radiographer to undertake and perform all the radiology examination and procedures using clinically accepted technique and with due regard to patient care, image quality and radiation safety, i.e: X-Ray, CT Scan, Mammogram, Portable X-Ray, Operation Theatre imaging and etc. 2. Explain procedure clearly to patients before diagnostic examinations and assist in alleviating patient anxiety. 3. Establish that all female patients of child bearing age are not pregnant before performing X-ray examinations on them by taking consent for LMP and etc. 4. Ensure that all studies are sent to the PACS, teleradiology server after they have been performed. 5. Verify accurate entry of patient date before transmitting studies for reporting.
