**Position Summary**:
Responsible for the monitoring of management of animal health, nutrition, environmental quality, water quality and psychological well-being, quarantine and daily care of a living collection of all animals at SEA LIFE Malaysia (SLCM) by providing required veterinary expertise. Direct input to Animal Health Enquire (AHE) process, where required within SLCM. Communicating and liaising with Global Lead Veterinary Consultant and SLCM Curator regarding on issues related to animal health and management. To ensure consistently high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and professionalism throughout all aquarium areas. As directed to deliver consistently high standards of animal husbandry and life support systems operation.

**Scope and Responsibilities**:
**_1. _**_Operations_**
- Provide a monthly summary on treatments, postmortems, preventive medicine and health checks and adhere to the Daily, Weekly and Monthly Veterinary and Animal Health related Checklists at all times in the workplace.
- Communicates to Curator and aquarists of any issues identified and provides critical input in developing a course of action to rectify the situation.
- Ensures that the quarantine facility is fully operational and that daily activities related to cleaning, maintenance, feeding and other husbandry activities are undertaken on a day-to-day basis, including routine checking of tanks exhibits and LSS areas

**_2. _**_Marketing_**
- Ensure all areas are operational to maximize our guest experiences and revenue in key areas. In addition, ensure that all in attraction signage (BRP, Conservation & Education) and promotional collateral reflect the SEAL LIFE brand positively.
- Actively engage with visitors when suitable tasks are being carried out to enhance the visitor experience.
- Assist in the agreed Curatorial-Marketing related activities in the aquarium.

**_3. Financial_**
- Following agreed processes to ensure that all veterinary and lab related purchases are within budget.
- To assist Curator in veterinary, drugs, chemical and lab equipment requisition.

**Background and Experience**:

- Requires at least 3 years of work experience as veterinarian. Experience in Aquarium/Theme Park operations is an added advantage.
- Experience conducting various type of vaccinations and health checks on animals.
- Excellent communication skills and problem solving skills.
- Patience and love for animals.

**Education**:
A bachelor’s degree in Veterinary or equivalent.
