**1. Accountability & Responsibility**

**a.**Responsible for providing technical and operational support to the ship, and to facilitate safe and efficient running of the ship and her machineries.

**2. Responsibility Areas**

**a.**Ship Maintenance.

**b.**Technical knowledge, support & assistance to vessel.

**c.**Machinery running hours and performance.

**d.**Dry-docking, repairs & certification.

**e.**Stores, spares & supplies.

**f.**Structural Strength, materials & control systems.

**3. Duties & Regular Routine**

**a.**Ensuring compliance where appropriate with the Company’s Procedures and Policies in accordance with the requirements of the ISM Code and ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and ISO 22301:2019 Standards.

**b.**Manage the planned maintenance program and class / statutory requirements.

**c.**Provide technical knowledge, support and assistance on matters related to technical operations as required.

**d.**Planning and undertaking of ship repairs and dockings.

**e.**Prepare and monitor vessel operational budget.

**f.**Member of the duty on-call team (Emergency response team)

**g.**Be responsible for the technical management of the vessels, from the new build stage through to commissioning and operational phases.

**h.**Manage marine auditing to class, and ensures survey, certification and re-certification requirements are met at all times.

**i.**Monitor vessel performances related to speed, fuel, lubricating oil consumptions and implement remedial actions whenever necessary.

**j.**Conduct pre selection interviews of potential sailing staff Engineers and will also be involved in familiarisation of new crew.

**k.**Be involved in purchasing of spares and stores for the vessel(s).

**l.**Cost control Initiative and measures, Inventory control of the vessel. To keep track of all supplies and avoid duplication / oversupply.

**m.**Read, review, and record technical reports and accordingly respond to the vessels for further actions. Maintain & record technical statistics.

**n.**Visit the vessel(s) for inspection at regular intervals. At least one sailing and two port visits per vessel in a manner that the visits bring value to the vessel’s quality management. Timely submission of Ship Visit Reports and effective follow up until closure. To file reports in Portal.

**o.**Arrange for calibrations / service by technicians’ attendance for repairs & defect rectification. (This includes identify the spares / technicians & service co., liaise with agents, discuss with Fleet Manager & vessel based on Vessel Schedule).

**p.**Ensure preparation of Defect List by vessel, prompt follow up with vessel for rectifying all defects. Update defect list status to Fleet Manager twice a month.

**q.**Managing & monitoring critical equipment’s / machinery and adequate spares supply at all times.

**r.**Investigation Reports for Technical Issues.

**s.**To prepare Quarterly Technical Reports for Owners.

**t.**Vetting Preparation - target 3 observation of low risk. All technical matters, certification and visit report to be in order. No issues to be kept pending and discussed in detail if any issues cannot be solved.

**4. Authority**

**a.**He / She has no direct authority on his work his/her work scope and should consult CEO when any issue arises.

**5. Qualification**

**a.**Certificate of Competency (COC) STCW Class 3 / Bachelor / Diploma majoring in Marine Engineering with three (3) or more years of related experience.

**b.**Possess of shipping management or services knowledge.

**c.**Applicable legal and other requirements related to shipping.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
