JR32232 Data Science Manager

**Responsibilities**:
**Build and Integrate Next Generation Data Systems with Business Needs**
- Foster innovation by harnessing technologies, processes, and tools for cutting-edge SW development and roadmap
- Lead cross functional teams to define data infrastructure roadmap and architecture
- Collaborate with IT architects/teams to design and prioritize infrastructure delivery aligned to roadmap
- Deliver scalable and supportable solutions which includes data warehousing, data integration and ETL processing
- Drive all aspects of our agile development process, from sprint planning to daily scrum meetings and sprint demos
- Ensure creation of artifacts related to software development, design, test cases, user training, release
- Direct custom data integration projects between internal and/or external planning, manufacturing and logistics data systems
- Ensure users have access to relevant data to perform job responsibilities, measure performance and identify improvements

**Enforce operational data quality**
- Establish software development best practices and tools to support data integrity, cleanup, and validation across all relevant data sources
- Enable continuous data quality improvements to minimize support requirements by establishing targets with stakeholders
- Collaborate with IT to ensure effective incident, problem and change management processes

**Design and Develop Modern Data Analytics and Visualization Solutions**
- Develop team’s expertise in data mining, linear and non-linear optimization techniques and analytic methods
- Drive data science solutions in a production data pipeline using statistical and machine learning techniques
- Deploy next generation desktop/web/mobile apps
- Collaborate across department boundaries in Micron to define common modules, user libraries and standards

**Ensure a Safe, Compliant, and Ethical Work Environment**
- Comply with company safety, labor, and ethics policies
- Oversee execution of mandatory training for direct reports
- Role Model a culture of safety and recognize contributions made to supporting a safe work environment
- Participate in process improvement activities
- Identify defects and escalate early
- Provide timely feedback when quality, safety, or ethical issues arise
- Follow and support company-wide and department safety procedures to maintain a clean, safe, and accident-free work environment
- Promote high integrity processes that will enable immediate sharing of problems, issues and solutions with management team

**Manage Human Resource**
- Support and contribute to developing, modifying, and executing company policies
- Manage organizational structure, staffing, and culture
- Supervise other managers and staff through coaching and succession planning
- Lead staff meetings, department meetings, and department communications
- Allocate staffing and hire to fill gaps
- Monitor the performance of employees and provide ongoing performance feedback, mentoring, and growth opportunities
- Create performance plans and conduct performance evaluations
- Enforce HR workplace policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Set and support workplace priorities
- Drive accountability through clear communication, informal feedback, effective project management, and appropriate usage of metrics
- Energize the work force with continuous updates, monthly all hands meetings, and sharing status of actions, projects and task on hand via systematized dash boards
- Create people profiling to enable correct development plans for high potential and skilled work force (external and professional training and certification)

**Qualification**:
Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
