**Position: R&D Chemist**

**Responsibilities**:

- Carries out test and experiments assignments and collects data to draw conclusion and to take necessary corrective action to achieve project goals.
- Plans tests and experiments, advises on formulation or modification of techniques and equipment requirements.
- Participates in the development of techniques to support the design, updating and conduct of experiments, tests, assays, pilot runs, etc.
- Prepares data for inclusion in reports and may prepare preliminary drafts of recommendations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams (i.e. juniors, marketing/ production. Etc) across product development cycle.
- Assist production in troubleshooting and finding solution to customer complaints
- Design and develop new products to meet market trend and demand, manage product development from lab scale to pilot run.
- Offer technical support on production process, quality troubleshooting, and customer inquiries.
- Report regularly to superiors on project progress, results and analysis.
- Ensure all lab equipment is well maintained and utilized in proper manner.

**Qualification**:

- Minimum Diploma/ Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or equivalent.
- **At least 3-5 year(s) of relevant experience in Coating/ pigments industry**:

- Excellent analytical, attention to detail, oral, written and presentation communication skills. Proficient in MS Office software skills
- Creative and analytical minded, able to work independently in the laboratory and plant environment, have aptitude for development work.
- Possess good interpersonal and communication skill.
- Competent in handling of laboratory equipment necessary to carry out experimental and laboratory work.
- Willing to work at Port Klang area.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: RM4,500.00 - RM6,735.98 per month
