Data Architect

Description

The person appointed will be an integral member of the Data Strategy squad and will be responsible for the design and implementation of the Group Data CoE data strategy, ensuring the strategy supports the current and future business needs. The role will involve collaborating with Business and IT stakeholders at all levels to ensure the data strategy and associated implementation is adding value to the business.

Develop and evolve the Data CoE-Data Strategy plan to support delivery of corporate objectives.
- Be a key member and advisor in all new strategic data initiatives and ensure alignment to the data strategy.
- Build a framework of principles to ensure data integrity across the business (including but not limited to BI, Data warehouse, external interfaces etc.)
- Ensure that the Data Architecture strategy and roadmap is aligned to the business and technology strategies.
- Build and maintain appropriate Data Architecture artefacts.
- Provide technical oversight to solution delivery in creating business driven solutions adhering to the corporate enterprise architecture and data governance standards.
- Be an advocate of data security principles and ensure appropriate security practices are embedded in any data strategy.
- Be an active contributor to how the bank evolves Data Governance practices and influence the adoption of data standards.
- To strategize, plan, implement and manage the data and information management initiatives to facilitate analytics usage customer, campaign, portfolio, modeling, etc.

Plan, review, and manage budget & forecast with budget coordinator from Group Data CoE team. Work with IT and IT Enterprise Architecture team for architecture alignment and approval for data strategy capabilities initiatives.

**Requirements**:

- Degree/Master in Decision Science, Statistics, Economics, IT, Computer Science or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of proven experience in architecting and implementing Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse platforms, Master Data Management and Data Lake solution.
- Possess in-depth knowledge and able to consult on various technologies.
- Strong knowledge of industry best practices around data architecture in both cloud based and on prem solutions.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills are essential, enabling easy interpretation and analysis of large volumes of data.
- A comprehensive understanding of the principles of and best practices behind data engineering, and the supporting technologies such as RDBMS, NoSQL, Cache & In-memory stores.
- Experience of architecting data solution across hybrid (cloud, on premise) data platforms. A comprehensive understanding of data warehousing and data transformation (extract, transform and load) processes and the supporting technologies such as Amazon Cloud, Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, other analytics products.
- Strong knowledge of horizontal data lineage from source to output.
- Collaborative and ability to prioritize effectively.
- Proactive, ability to think outside the box, and analytical thinking.
- Good knowledge & hands-on experience in data analytic technology (SAS Statistical Tool, MS SQL, Oracle, R-Programming, Data Engineering, IoT) will be an advantage
- Project track record in develop and implement analytics model for financial industry
- Experience in process improvement technique and change management will be added advantage
