Quality Inspector

**Job Description Summary**: The Quality Inspector is responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and proposing measures to correct or improve a company’s final products and processes to meet established quality standards. This role ensures that products meet both internal and external requirements, including legal compliance and customer expectations
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Perform regular quality inspections on incoming materials, in-process items, and finished products.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure compliance.
- Use measuring tools and testing equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product dimensions and quality.
- Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarize re-work and waste; input data into quality databases.
- Identify and report any non-conformities or deviations from standards.
- Work closely with production teams to provide feedback and resolve quality issues.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety and quality protocols.
- Participate in audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
**Requirements**:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field is a plus.
- Experience working in an aviation MRO is a strong advantage for this position
- Advanced knowledge of measuring tools such as Vernier caliper and equipment used in production and/or manufacturing
- Proven experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, or a similar role.
- Solid understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.
- Ability to read technical documents and blueprints.
- Competency with precision measuring instruments and tools.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Experience with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
- Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with ERP or quality management software.
