**Job Summary**:
- Responsible to maintain a high-quality standard of all food preparations, service, and hygiene in their respective kitchen according to the standards required by the management.
Responsible for the overall product quality and consistency throughout the Shang Palace Chinese restaurant daily.
Responsible for directing, training, supervising, planning, and coordinating within the Chinese restaurant, including any projects as requested, working closely with the Chinese Executive Chef.
Ensures a high quality of product for the guests and secures profit margins while always maintaining the company’s image.
**Duties**:
- Coordinates, in detail on the Restaurant food production, and all specific duties assigned with full supervision hands on approach.
Works hand in hand with the Chinese Executive Chef daily.
Maintains high quality of food and complies with company’s hygiene and food safety standard.
**Requirements**:
- Diploma/ Degree in Hotel & Food Preparation Management.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Chinese operations either a luxury restaurant or a 5-star deluxe hotel background.
Positive character and self-driven mindset, helpful and trustworthy.
Creative, innovative, and open-minded to change.
Knowledgeable about HACCP and Food Safety Management System is an advantage.
Strong organization skills and time management skills.
Flexible and able to work as per hotel operational needs and requirements.
Fluent in Chinese language spoken and written.
Due to work permit restrictions, only citizens of Malaysia and Permanent Residents of Malaysia shall be considered.
