Librarian (Temporary)

Methodist College Kuala Lumpur (MCKL) is looking for a Temporary Librarian Staff. We are looking for someone to help out in library duties and assists patrons in the use of library. Come do join us if you are interested to work in a young-fun environment.

**What you will be doing**:

- Monitor patrons’ use of the library and assist patrons locate both print and non-print resources.
- Assist library with inventory check and shelf reading.
- Assist in collecting data for library report & library statistics and in processing new materials.
- Repair damaged books.
- Assist in photocopy, scanning, binding and laminating service.
- Undertake relevant duties as and when required from time to time.

**Who are we looking for? **
- At least a minimum SPM or Degree Holder.
- Possess at least one-year prior experience in academic library would be an added advantage.
- Attention to details.
- Good command of both written and spoken English is essential.
- Organized and flexible.
- Computer literate.
- Able to work independently, hardworking and has initiative.

We are looking for someone who can start immediately.

Job period - 1st October 2024 to 31 January 2025

Contract length: 4 months

Pay: From RM2,000.00 per month
