**Vacancy**: Marine Surveyor (Marine Consultancy)

**Location**: Johor Bahru, Malaysia

Are you a Marine Chief Engineer or Naval Architect with a passion for marine surveying works, and would like to be part of a leading global independent marine consultancy. If your answer is a yes, then this will be just the job for you.

As a Consultant Marine Surveyor, you will manage a variety of marine consultancy service, including but not limited to vessel surveys of any type, accident investigation, expert witness, litigation support, desktop consultancy projects and risk assessments.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop strong work relationship with P&I Clubs, H&M Surveyors, Ship Owners, Technical Managers, Charterers, Law Firms, Ports and other key stakeholders
- Carry out condition assessments of vessels, audit management offices, shipyards and ports as part of pre-risk assessment works
- Carry out casualty surveys to deter the cause, nature and extent of a collision or accident damage
- Prepare estimation cost for repairs and subsequent reports for Clients
- Prepare and submit technical reviews and marine study reports covering marine assets and cargoes
- Carry out expert witness opinion via written reports and/or physical attendance at court or arbitration

**Job Requirements**:

- Can be based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia
- Degree qualified Naval Architect with relevant hands-on experience or at least 5 years of sea-sailing experience.
- Subject matter expert to vessel dry-docking and budgets
- Must have strong written communication ability, and excellent report writing skills in English
- Physical capability to work in the demanding maritime environment
