Tourism Lecturer

Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:

- **Teach tourism-related courses** to diploma and degree students, ensuring curriculum alignment with industry standards.
- **Develop and update course materials, lesson plans, and assessments** that reflect current trends in the tourism industry.
- **Evaluate and assess student performance** through assignments, exams, and practical activities, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
- **Conduct research and stay updated on tourism industry trends**, integrating relevant insights into course content.
- **Provide academic advising and mentorship** to students, supporting their educational and career development.
- **Collaborate with faculty members** to enhance the quality and effectiveness of the tourism program.
- **Contribute to curriculum development** and participate in program review processes.
- **Network with industry professionals** to establish partnerships and promote internship or job placement opportunities for students.

**Requirements**:

- A **Master's or PhD in Tourism Management, Hospitality, or a related field**.
- A minimum of **2 years of teaching experience** in a similar role, preferably in higher education.
- **Industry experience in tourism or hospitality** is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A passion for teaching and the ability to inspire students.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Skills:

- Familiarity with **e-learning platforms and tools**.
- Knowledge of **sustainable tourism practices**.
- Experience in **curriculum development**.
- Ability to **conduct research and publish** in academic journals.

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
