**Overview**

Production Manager to oversee and manage the full spectrum of production activities. Will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and improving manufacturing processes to achieve quality, efficiency, and delivery targets. You will lead the production team, manage inventory and maintenance, and liaise with local and overseas suppliers, especially from China.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
**1. Production Planning & Execution**
- Lead and manage daily production operations to ensure timely completion of orders.
- Develop and implement production schedules based on sales orders to meet delivery deadlines.
- Ensure optimal use of resources including manpower, materials, and machinery.
- Monitor the full production flow from raw material to finished product.

**2. Quality Assurance & Control**
- Ensure quality standards are met at every stage of the production process.
- Monitor in-process and finished goods quality to maintain a low reject rate.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve any quality-related issues with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Conduct regular quality audits and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs).

**3. Team Management & Development**
- Supervise, train, and guide production staff to perform at high standards.
- Set performance goals, monitor staff output, and provide feedback and corrective actions when necessary.
- Promote teamwork and maintain a productive and safe working environment.

**4. Maintenance & Equipment Management**
- Oversee routine inspection, servicing, and maintenance of all plant machinery and equipment.
- Coordinate with local and overseas suppliers, especially in China, on technical servicing and spare parts.
- Minimize machine downtime through preventive maintenance and quick response to breakdowns.

**5. Inventory & Material Management**
- Plan and monitor raw material requirements based on production forecasts.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely supply of materials, including imports from China.
- Monitor raw material quality and address any quality issues with suppliers promptly.
- Control wastage and manage material cost effectively.

**6. Process Improvement & Cost Control**
- Identify areas for improvement in production efficiency, cost, and quality.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles or best practices to reduce waste and improve output.
- Work closely with the management team to evaluate and implement process upgrades.

**7. Health, Safety & Compliance**
- Ensure all safety regulations are followed on the production floor.
- Conduct safety briefings and create awareness among staff on workplace safety practices.
- Investigate and report any incidents, and take preventive measures to avoid future occurrences.

**8. Reporting & Documentation**
- Prepare and maintain accurate production records including batch sheets, daily output, and quality logs.
- Report regularly to senior management on production performance, efficiency, and any issues.
- Review and verify Bill of Materials (BOM) for accuracy and completeness.

**Other Duties.**
- Any other ad hoc duties that may be assigned by the Management from time to time.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Must be able to work in shifts / weekends if necessary.
- Minimum Diploma/Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in managing full production line operations, especially in industrial manufacturing (e.g., Aluminum Composite Panels) is an advantage.
- Strong technical knowledge in machinery maintenance and production systems.
- Familiar with liaising with overseas suppliers, especially in China.
- Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English; Mandarin is an added advantage due to coordination with China suppliers.
- Willing to be hands-on and proactive in driving production excellence

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
