The General Ledger Accountant provides general ledger transactional processing support to deliver general ledger, treasury, bank reconciliation and bank journals to both APAC and North America in accordance with Company policies, processes, work procedure, legal and statutory requirements. This role will ensure that timelines and quality meet the agreed service levels and targets.
- Preparation of Balance Sheet Reconciliation for each assigned General Ledger account in BlackLine.
- Prepare and perform posting of journal entries in Oracle with supporting documents upon approval.
- Ensure cash receipts summary are sent to customer on a daily basis in a timely manner.
- Complete general administration and month end tasks as required.
- Ensure all queries are attended on daily basis and closed on timely basis.
- Ensure that control checking is being perform on daily basis.
- Ensure completeness of urgent request.
- Correctly input and gain approval for journals entered in Oracle.
- Ensure bank reconciliations are reconciled on daily basis. Reconciling items identified are followed up with relevant parties on timely manner.
- Complete any other ad-hoc requests.
**Requirements**:
- At least 3 years’ relevant experience in accounting function
- Good understanding of accounting principles, standards, financial statements, and reports
- Able to work effectively as a member in multi-functional teams
- Experienced in dealing with key stakeholders
- Proficiency in English with good communication and writing skills
