Junior Chef

**Job Summary**:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated **Junior Chef** to join our Elder Home Care Centre. This role is ideal for a **fresh graduate** or entry-level culinary professional who is eager to gain hands-on experience in preparing nutritious and appetising meals tailored to the needs of elderly residents.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the daily preparation and cooking of meals for residents, ensuring nutritional value and presentation standards are met.
- Follow recipes and menus set by the Head Chef or Dietitian, accommodating dietary restrictions (e.g., diabetic, low-sodium, soft diets).
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen, following food safety and sanitation guidelines (HACCP standards).
- Ensure proper storage and labelling of food items.
- Support in receiving and checking food supplies and inventory control.
- Assist during meal service, ensuring timeliness and resident satisfaction.
- Participate in kitchen cleaning duties and dishwashing as needed.
- Report any equipment malfunction or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Perform any other related tasks as assigned by the Head Chef or management.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma/Certificate in Culinary Arts or related field.
- **Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply** - training will be provided.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
- Understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
- Passion for cooking and caring for the elderly.
- Willingness to work weekends or shifts, if required.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
