Assists the Engineering Manager in the supervision and co-ordination of the function of the Department through implementation of excellent standards and procedures on maintenance planning, routine maintenance, effective regular / periodic preventive maintenance programs to maximise / prolong the working life of all operating equipment, F, F & E and minimize any breakdowns / defects in order that the hotel operations may run smoothly without any interruptions or disruption to business.
- To assist the Engineering Manager in analyzing and monitoring of department’s operation, recommends programs for improvement of procedures and cost reduction.
- To supervises and co-ordinates the operations related to the efficient repairs and preventive maintenance of guest rooms / outlets / public areas / back of the house facilities and their accessories such as woodworks, masonry, tiles, air-condition, ceiling, plumbing, electrical and paint / surface coating or any maintenance part.
- To conducts, supervises and checks, monitors (IN/OUT) and maintains inventory of Maintenance storage and stock item.
- To assist the Engineering Manager to conduct monthly training for all maintenance staffs.
- To assist the Engineering Manager to checks/monitors daily time sheet, staff attendance, casual worker (OT).
- To assist with administrative and office procedures such as preparation of various correspondences, monitoring of staff’s employment record, work tools, maintains of technical files, machineries and attendance / time sheet / overtime of maintenance staff.
- To follow up on other department’s requests for Maintenance jobs and implements job requests for repairs and other maintenance jobs in his shift.
- To supervise Maintenance Crew assigned / employed on special and contractual projects or service work, inspecting and measuring quality of workmanship, and ensuring all hotel standards of work are achieved at all times.
- To support and assist the Maintenance Manager in compliance with all OSHA requirements and to providing a safe environment for all guests, customers, and staff.
- To support emergency case ‘short main power/staffing’-cover for shift
- To participate in the Hotel ERT, assist the Engineering Manager to monitor Hotel equipment i.e. fire-fighting system, water pump system, lift system, electrical panel board, air-condition system, heater, blower fans and Kitchen equipment.
- To recommend and co-ordinate with each section within Engineering department for problem solving.
- To take a prevention step for any ‘hazard point’ what has been reported by subordinate.
- Performs other job-related tasks or reasonable requests as assigned by the Engineering Manager or Management.
