**Job Summary**:
The MYP Coordinator is responsible for the effective implementation and management of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) within the school. This role ensures the program is delivered in accordance with IB standards and practices and fosters a collaborative environment that promotes inquiry-based learning, international-mindedness, and holistic development.
**Key Responsibilities:1. Programme Leadership**:
- Oversee the implementation, development, and evaluation of the MYP across all year levels.
- Ensure the school complies with all IB requirements, including policies, documentation, and assessment standards.
- Act as the liaison between the school and the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO).
- Lead the preparation for IB authorization and evaluation visits.
**2. Curriculum Coordination**:
- Ensure vertical and horizontal alignment of curriculum.
- Support the integration of Approaches to Learning (ATL), Global Contexts, and the Learner Profile in teaching and learning.
**3. Professional Development**:
- Identify professional development needs and facilitate internal and external training opportunities for MYP staff.
- Organize regular workshops, meetings, and collaborative planning sessions for MYP teachers.
- Provide induction and ongoing support for new MYP teachers.
**4. Student Support and Assessment**:
- Oversee implementation of the MYP assessment criteria and ensure consistency in grading and reporting.
- Monitor student progress and support intervention strategies as needed.
- Guide students and staff in the Personal Project process and coordinate its execution.
**5. Communication and Community Engagement**:
- Communicate regularly with parents, staff, and students about the MYP philosophy, goals, and practices.
- Develop and maintain the MYP section of the school’s website and other communication channels.
- Promote international-mindedness and intercultural understanding within the school community.
**6. Documentation and Compliance**:
- Maintain up-to-date MYP records and documentation, including curriculum planning, assessment data, and correspondence with IB.
- Prepare reports and documentation for IB authorization/evaluation and internal reviews.
**Key Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Valid teaching certification.
- Minimum 3-5 years of teaching experience, preferably in an IB MYP school.
- Experience in curriculum planning and educational leadership.
- In-depth knowledge of the IB Middle Years Programme framework.

**Job Type**: Permanent
Pay: RM2,081.32 - RM6,280.87 per month
