Geologist

**Design support for tenders: -**
- Review and summarize rock condition reports, tender specifications and requirements.
- Identify and summarise geological problems and technical risk.
- Analyse geological related problems and draft technical proposal.

**Design-related coordination work for ongoing projects: -**
- Perform analysis and design in accordance with current legislation, standards and codes of practice.
- Guide and train junior geologists.
- Prepare detailed construction drawings with the assistance of draughtperson.
- Conduct regular site visits to integrate design concept and actual ground conditions.
- Quality Control (QC) review and verification between design assumptions and actual site conditions.
- Carry out geological analysis and design using tools such as Rocscience software.
- Liaise with clients/consultants/sub-contractors on technical related issues.

**Job Requirement**
- Preferably with Bachelor’s Degree in Geology/Geoscience
- Geologist with at least 1 years’ experience in geological assessment, analysis and writing technical proposals or fresh graduate.
- Proficient in the use of geological-related software, as well as knowledge in engineering geology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), AutoCAD, Surfer and RockWorks or any relevant geological analysis software.
- Independent, demonstrate strong analytical thinking and able to have prompt, open and direct communications with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project expectations.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Experienced in conducting SPT, sample collection, field and laboratory analysis of rock or soils.
