**Position: Executive Sous Chef**
**Location: KLCC, Kuala Lumpur | Event-based (Klang Valley area)**
**Working Days/ Time: 6 days/week, ~45 hours (on-site)**
**Headcount: 1**

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Support the Executive Chef in leading daily kitchen and stewarding operations
- Ensure strict compliance with hygiene, safety, and food quality standards
- Manage kitchen staffing and ensure smooth, timely food service during large-scale events
- Oversee purchasing, menu planning, and event-specific culinary requirements
- Train, mentor, and develop kitchen and stewarding teams
- Monitor and control food wastage, labor costs, and production efficiency
- Collaborate with the sales team and clients to design tailored event menus
- Step in as Acting Executive Chef when required
- Drive departmental objectives and maintain performance standards
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in culinary operations, with strong expertise in **banquet and event cuisine**:
- Proven track record in **first-class hotels** (10+ years)
- Strong leadership, management, and team development skills
- Excellent command of **English and Bahasa Melayu**:
- Flexibility to travel within the Klang Valley area (event-based locations)
**Job Type**: Permanent
Pay: RM15,000.00 - RM20,000.00 per month
