Position Summary

The Inventory Receiving Specialist is responsible for the accurate and efficient receipt, inspection, and initial processing of all incoming materials, products, and supplies. This role serves as the gateway to our organization’s inventory system, ensuring that inventory records are updated and that items are properly documented and staged for put-away.

Key Responsibilities
- **Receive & Inspect Shipments**:

- Verify incoming goods against purchase orders, packing lists, and vendor invoices.
- Inspect shipments for damage, defects, counting accuracy, and discrepancies; document and report issues immediately.
- **Data Entry & Documentation**:

- Enter receipt details into the System or ERP, including quantities, lot numbers, and expiration dates.
- Generate and file receiving reports, discrepancy logs, and compliance documentation
- **Staging & Labeling**:

- Label cartons, pallets, or bins with barcodes/QR codes and stage them in designated “ready for put-away” areas.
- Coordinate with fork-lift operators or material handlers to move staged inventory to its final storage location.
- **Quality & Compliance**:

- Follow SOPs for quality control checks, including random sampling and expiration-date verification.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal audit guidelines.
- **Inventory Accuracy & Reconciliation**:

- Assist in cycle counts, spot checks, and physical inventory audits; reconcile discrepancies between system and physical counts.
- Support corrective actions—such as adjustments or investigations—to resolve inventory variances.
- **Communication & Coordination**:

- Liaise with Purchasing, Quality Assurance, and Production teams to resolve receiving issues and prioritize urgent shipments.
- Notify supervisors of backorders, overages, and other exceptions; escalate critical issues as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field is a plus.
- **Experience**:

- 2+ years of hands-on experience in warehouse receiving or inventory control.
- Familiarity with electronic WMS/ERP systems preferred.
- **Certifications**:

- Forklift certification or material-handling license (preferred).
- Basic safety and OSHA training certifications.

Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Proficiency with barcode scanners and Microsoft Excel.
- Good organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly and safely.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.

Working Conditions
- Warehouse environment with variable temperatures (including cold-storage areas).
- PPE (e.g., safety shoes, gloves) required.
- Standard shifts Monday-Saturday, with occasional early starts or overtime during peak periods.

Preferred Attributes
- Proactive attitude with a continuous-improvement mindset.
- Experience in regulated industries (food & beverage, pharmaceuticals) a plus.
- Basic understanding of FIFO/LIFO and lot‐control methodologies.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
