Technical Field Advisor

Job Description Summary Responsible for carrying out on site services inspections and testing of large gas turbines, generators and steam turbines. He or she will lead the inspection work onsite independently. This is a 100% field role and reports to Service Manager. Essential functions and responsibilities - Performing repairs on high voltage generator stator windings and field windings to ensure the insulation system meets OEM and Industry standards. - Performing visual inspection on gas turbines, steam turbines and generators utilizing specialized equipment such as borescope equipment, robotic inspection tooling and etc. - Performing electrical testing on large generators to ensure that the electrical and mechanical integrity of the equipment meets OEM requirements. - Ensures that the work is performed according to Quality, Schedule, Environmental and Health & Safety requirements. - Support engineering activities. - Deliver expectations on EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety), Quality and site schedule. - Resolving all issues at site in related to the inspection with the support from the site team and Qualifications/Requirements - Diploma/ degree certification - Must have 5 years and above experience in performing on site services, inspection or maintenance on GE heavy duty Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines and Generators. - Knowledge in Turbine & Generator components - Good hands-on skills. - Be familiar with mechanical drawings, dimensions, and geometric tolerances - Flexible with travelling and able to travel on short notice (national & international) for an extended period. This is 100% field role. - Must have Valid Passport and Driver License.
