**POSITION OVERVIEW**:
Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping a facility operating and repairing any problems when they are discover before they have a chance to worsen. Maintenance Technician will usually be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks around all outlets, at the same time general upkeep of the building and its infrastructure.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPOSIBILITIES**:
1. Performing general routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repair.
2. Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures.
3. Working on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs.
5. Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
6. Painting the building when old paint has become faded or chipped.
7. Carry out pre and post inspection of hotel’s equipment, machines and public lighting to ensure everything is in a smooth operating condition.
8. Liaise closely with Housekeeping to provide technical and maintenance support, finish tasks assigned by superior from time to time.
9. Maintain records and log books for special service contractors, recording repairs and the production of works orders.
10. Assist Executive Housekeeper to monitor response times regularly for completing repairs in order to measure contractor performance.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty to a satisfactory standard. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.
**1. Education**:Appropriate documented training from technical/vocational institute.
**2. Experience**:Electrical wiring and mechanical skills, knowledge of general repair and plumbing, carpentry ability, proficiency with repair tools and techniques.
**3. Language Skills**:Basic knowledge of English or Malay language is mandatory as well as the ability to speak, read and write clearly. Second language preferred.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
