Coffee Trainee

Promotes coffee consumption by educating customers; selling coffee and coffee grinding and brewing equipment, accessories, and supplies; preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, along with pastries and cookies
- Welcomes customers by determining their coffee & drink interests and needs
- Understands the drinks menu and is able to recommend drinks to customers
- Educates customers by presenting and explaining the drink menu; answering questions
- Prepares and sells coffee & drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as, espresso, espresso lungo, caffe latte, and cappuccino
- Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply and maintaining supplies for other drinks
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs
- Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
- Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and redesigning processes; implementing changes; maintaining and improving the appearance of the store and coffee bar
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading coffee, retail trade, and food service publications; maintaining personal networks
- Assists in cashiering and serving customers from time to time
- Completes any other ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Manager before/during/after shift

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experienced in food and beverage preparation or customer service preferred
- Willingness to continue learning about food and beverage preparation
- Possess exceptional listening and communication skills
- Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods
- Availability to work around peak hours, including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays
- Has a polite and engaging personality
- Commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence
- Willingness to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment
- 5 days work per week

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: RM1,600.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
