M&e Technician

An M&E (Mechanical and Electrical) Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of mechanical and electrical systems within various facilities, such as manufacturing plants, commercial buildings, and more.

1. Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks on mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), plumbing, lighting, electrical circuits, and machinery.

2. Inspection and Testing: Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues, malfunctions, or safety hazards. Perform testing and diagnostics to assess the condition and performance of equipment and systems

3. Equipment Installation: Assist in the installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of mechanical and electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

4. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and equipment performance. Generate reports detailing findings, recommendations, and actions taken.

5. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and property damage. Identify and mitigate safety risks associated with mechanical and electrical sstems.

6. Collaboration: Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and facility managers to coordinate maintenance schedules, prioritize tasks, and address operational challenges effectively.

7. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging technologies, best practices, and industry standards related to mechanical and electrical systems. Recommend improvements to enhance system reliability, efficiency, and performance.

**Job Requirements**:
1. Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required. Additional technical training or certification in mechanical or electrical systems is beneficial.

2. Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment and systems. Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical circuits, and industrial machinery is essential.

3. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex systems, identify issues, and implement effective solutions. Strong diagnostic skills to troubleshoot problems efficiently.

4. Safety Awareness: Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, practices, and procedures. Ability to work safely with various tools, equipment, and hazardous materials.

5. Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information, document maintenance activities, and collaborate with team members effectively.

6. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to perform accurate inspections, identify subtle abnormalities, and ensure compliance with specifications and standards.

7. Physical Stamina: Physical fitness and stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, climbing, and working in confined spaces or at heights.

8. Problem-Solving Skills: Resourcefulness and adaptability to resolve unexpected challenges, optimize processes, and minimize downtime effectively.

9. Teamwork: Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision as well as collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve common goals.

Pay: RM1,600.00 - RM2,300.00 per month
