**Summary: The personnel is responsible for commanding the yacht and navigating safe passages across the oceans.**
- Responsible for overseeing all activities onboard, ranging from hiring crew members, navigating the vessel, handling guest and owners’ requests, planning itineraries or planning shipyard maintenance and or refit periods.
- Responsible for voyage planning including weather forecast, engine condition, crews’ schedule, safe navigation, and operation of the yacht.
- Performed administrative duties such as maintaining the logbook and other transportation records, security protocols, audits, accounts, communication with yacht contractors etc.
- Guaranteeing that the yacht’s condition in all respects, will comply with the relevant laws and regulations set by local Marine authorities.
- Plan for annual flag surveys, annual class surveys and port/flag state controls.
- Accountable for setting of budgets and budget management, including hiring, leading, appraising and dismissal of crew.
- Overseeing the maintenance of the vessel and managing fuel costs and dockage fees.
- Leading to all safety regulations and standard procedures and ensuring the safety of all crews of the yacht are maintained and updated with the latest requirements by the authority.
- Execute and lead any task assigned by the Head Captain.
**Requirements**:
- Possess SPM / Professional Certificate / Diploma / Bachelor Degree in related field.
- At least **3 to 5 years as a Chief Officer / First Mate** and **5 years of experience on a qualifying vessel as a Captain.**:
- **Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping (STCW) certificate.**:
- Possess any related safety and medical certificate such as Basic Fire Fighting, Basic Water Survival, Basic Social Responsibility and Basic First Aid.
- Have a **valid Seaman Card** and **valid Medical Certificate** issued by an Accredited Medical Practitioner by the Marine Department of Malaysia.
- Obtained a Certificate of Competency as Mate on Ships of Less Than 500 Gross Tonnage on domestic trade voyages and Master of 500GT Domestic Trade Voyage.
- Ability to stay calm in difficult situations and have good grasp of finance and legislation.
- Superior leadership, communication, management, and diplomacy skills.
- Have own transportation.
- **Able to work at Kuala Besut, Terengganu.**
**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months
**Salary**: Up to RM6,500.00 per month
