Management Trainee

Jeong Family Management Trainee Programme is geared towards developing high potential individuals as future leaders in various aspects of the business.

This **One-year programme** provides Management Trainees with real immersive learning experience to equip them with a holistic view of the business, as well as the interrelationships between different functions across the value chain.**Responsibilities**:_

**Learning Sales Operations**
- Understand the sales process, customer service standards, and retail store operations.
- Observe and assist in inventory management, product displays, and promotions.
- Learn the store’s POS (Point of Sale) system and other retail software.

**Customer Service**
- Assist with providing excellent customer service, addressing customer inquiries, and resolving issues.
- Understand customer preferences and provide personalized product recommendations.

**Sales Techniques**
- Shadow senior sales associates and store managers to learn effective sales techniques.
- Practice upselling, cross-selling, and closing sales under supervision.

**Team Collaboration**
- Work closely with retail staff to understand teamwork and store dynamics.
- Assist in scheduling, motivating, and training junior staff.

**Sales Reporting and Analysis**
- Learn how to track sales performance and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Assist in preparing sales reports for management.

**Inventory and Stock Management**
- Learn inventory management techniques, including stock control, reordering, and managing deliveries.
- Help with stock rotation and ensuring product availability on the floor.

**Visual Merchandising**
- Assist in maintaining attractive and effective product displays.
- Learn about store layout and how it affects customer flow and sales.

**Promotions and Events**
- Support promotional activities, in-store events, and special campaigns to drive sales.
- Help plan and execute retail marketing initiatives.

**Problem Solving and Decision Making**
- Learn to handle operational challenges such as staffing issues, customer complaints, and unexpected problems during shifts.
- Shadow the decision-making process for key operational and sales decisions.

After completing a **1-year Management Trainee Program in Retail Sales**, the trainee can expect several potential outcomes, both in terms of skills development and career opportunities. The program is designed to prepare the trainee for leadership or specialized roles within the organization. Here’s what they can expect:

- **1. Promotion to a Junior Management Position**_
- **Assistant Store Manager**: Many management trainees are promoted to positions like Assistant Store Manager, where they oversee daily operations, staff, and sales targets.
- **Department Manager**: They might manage specific departments (e.g., sales, merchandising, or customer service) within a larger store.
- **Sales Team Leader**: They could lead a team of sales associates, driving performance, ensuring quality customer service, and implementing sales strategies.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree holder with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 or its equivalent.
- Less than 2 years of working experience.
- Active involvement in extra curricular activities.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and leadership skills.
- Able to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to speak in **Mandarin** is an added advantage
