Lorry Driver

We are looking for a reliable and skilled **Lorry Driver** to transport goods efficiently and safely. As a lorry driver, you will play a key role in ensuring the timely delivery of products while maintaining the safety of the vehicle and its cargo.

**Job Scope**:

- **Transportation of Goods**: Safely transport goods and products to designated locations in a timely manner.
- **Vehicle Maintenance**: Ensure the lorry is maintained in good working condition, including performing routine vehicle checks (oil, tires, brakes, etc.) and reporting any mechanical issues to the management.
- **Loading & Unloading**: Assist with the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring cargo is properly secured for transport.
- **Delivery Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes, invoices, and receipts. Ensure that paperwork is properly signed by customers.
- **Route Planning**: Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while minimizing fuel consumption and avoiding traffic.
- **Compliance with Safety Standards**: Adhere to road safety rules, traffic regulations, and company policies to ensure safe driving practices.
- **Customer Interaction**: Communicate professionally with customers during delivery to provide excellent service.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- **License**: Valid GDL (Goods Driving License) and Class D driving license.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 2 years of experience driving lorries or heavy vehicles.
- **Physical Fitness**: Ability to handle heavy loads and assist in loading and unloading of cargo.
- **Knowledge of Routes**: Familiarity with local roads, highways, and delivery routes.
- **Vehicle Maintenance Knowledge**: Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance to ensure proper upkeep of the lorry.
